Jenny White
Director/IBCLC/Infant Feeding Lead
Jenny has been involved in breastfeeding support for around 13 years now. She qualified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2016. She is a Registered Nurse and is also a Breastfeeding Counsellor with the Association on Breastfeeding Mothers. Jenny founded Breast Mates in 2015.

Melissa Callaghan
Director & IBCLC
Having worked for some years in London as a midwife and Infant Feeding Lead, Melissa qualified as a Lactation Consultant in 2011. Now living in Hastings she is looking forward to being able to support families with infant feeding as part of East Sussex Early Days.

Alice Privett
Director & IBCLC
Alice Privett trained as a peer supporter and then as a Breastfeeding Counsellor with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers, before qualifying as an IBCLC in 2023. Alice grew up in Hastings, and is thrilled to be serving this community as part of East Sussex Early Days.

Rachael Edwards
Director & Breastfeeding Counsellor
Rachael regularly provides support at Bexhill Breast Mates, she is an ABM Breastfeeding Counsellor and takes call on the National Breastfeeding Helpline. Rachael has two children and is a keen runner.

Alice Glenn
Peer Supporter
Alice joined Breast Mates in March 2023 Her first breastfeeding journey was really hard but with the support from Jenny, Alice was able to continue her long and successful journey of breastfeeding. She has two young boys who are her absolute world and takes great pride in being a Peer Supporter for parents on their breastfeeding journey. Alice has recently qualified as a Counsellor.

Georgina Desbruslais
Director
George (She/Her) is a Registered Midwife and a parent to 5 breastfed children. Before commencing midwifery training she was an ABM Breastfeeding Counsellor and helped support at the Bexhill Breast Mates Group and on the National Breastfeeding Helpline.

Betty Fowers
Director
Betty is an ABM Peer Supporter and also a mum to three breastfed children.

Ros Vinall
NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor
Ros volunteers at the Hastings Breast Mates group. She has volunteered for the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) for over 30 years since training with them as a Breastfeeding Counsellor (BFC). Locally she has been involved in various groups and was involved in setting up the NHS Peer Support services for the NHS. She enjoys being ny the side of mothers to help them to achieve their goals and nurture their babies.
